HUMMINGBIRD SPECIES:
                              
The Black-eared Fairy is a medium-sized tropical hummingbird with bright green upperparts, white underparts and a black mask. It has a black, relatively short, straight bill. Depending on subspecies, males have a green malar or throat. Females are similar to males but have longer tail and do not have green malar or throat. It is found in tropical forests in South America.
