Coppery-Bellied Puffleg 

SCIENTIFIC NAME: Eriocnemis cupreoventris

The Coppery-Bellied Puffleg is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae.

It is a fairly large hummingbird, measuring 4 inches in length.

Both sexes are similar. They are glittering green overall with a coppery belly, puffy white feathers at the base of the legs, and bright sapphire undertail coverts.

Occurs in high elevation montane forests, shrubby woodland, and paramo. They occasionally visit feeders.

It is threatened by habitat loss.

Colombia and Venezuela.
