The Cozumel Emerald is usually the most frequently encountered hummingbird species only on the Cozumel Island, Mexico.

Males are stunning emerald-green, with long, deeply forked tails.
Females have a distinctive broad dark facemask and a rather long forked tail.

Feeds low to high on a variety of flowers.

Subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland.

Mexican island of Cozumel off the Yucatán Peninsula.
