HUMMINGBIRD SPECIES:
         
The Green-throated Carib is a large and beautiful hummingbird with somewhat down-curved bill. Males have metallic bronze-green upperparts, uppertail coverts are mostly green, their long wings, flight feathers are deep dark blue. Both sexes are similar but females have longer bills than males and more decurved. Juveniles resemble the females but with washed brown head. They live in eastern Puerto Rico and Lesser Antilles except Grenada.
