The White-necked Jacobin is a large and attractive hummingbird species of humid tropical lowlands. It favors forest edges, adjacent clearings with scattered trees and flowering bushes, and gardens.
It ranges from Mexico, south to Peru, Bolivia and south Brazil and is also found on Tobago and Trinidad.
