Well, yes the originals do fade and rust over time, but that is to be expected with something that is outside 24/7 and 365 (as they are here in California). The rusted tops still work fine, the hummers don't care that they are kinda worn. I ordered new ones but mine were only 6.95 when I ordered a couple of weeks ago. Now they are the same price as on Amazon. Bummer. I do love the feeders and $10 isn't too much to pay. Grateful Gnome is a fabulous feeder product. They are the easiest ones I have found for cleaning, they are so very beautiful and the people who I have spoken to on the phone are always very very helpful ad pleasant. I love supporting this company.
I love your glass feeders. And so do the hummers. This is the only metal part. Within a year of use the top area where it meets the glass had rusted and worse, the grommets through which the hummers feed had rusted and broken. So, thank you for the quick replacement but please try to make the part more safe and durable.
I received the hummingbird feeder as a gift from my son. I love the feeder but I was disappointed when the base faded and began to rust. I was happy to find it could be replaced. I’m looking forward to putting the feeder back out in the Spring.
I’ve been trying to get some for months, even signed up to be notified when they were in and nada. What the heck?
Top of the line merchandise in unique designs.
Love these perches for my existing humming bird feeders! The ones that came with the feeders rusted and could not be salvaged. These particular ones have not rusted. I bought 2 last summer to see what would happen. No rusting, no erosion at all and I keep my feeders up all year. Great product!
This product seem fine. I had to order new tops because the old metal tops rusted through and needed replacement. Hopefully these will last longer.
Better price than on Amazon, and the quality of these are much improved with the brass metal casing tube in the middle of the red flower has been smoothed and I can rub my finger without feeling any rough edges. My glass bottle feeders are durable so these will extend the life over the many years of future enjoyment. I don't leave them outside when the winds blow gusts of 40 mph though, as they can swing off and will break.
